Valentine's Day

I like to spend my Valentine's Days baking and making sweet stuff for my family. Today it was red velvet cupcakes (same recipe as last year), chocolate chip cookie brownies, potato-cheddar-bacon soup and pizza casserole. Alan gave me earrings shaped like turtles, with a freshwater pearl as the shell of the turtle. Kids gave me a rose, Alan also bought me some perfume, and mom gave me chocolates. Perfect gifts for Valentine's Day. I gave Alan a new mount in WoW, then ended up buying one for myself because Blizzard came out with a new golden dragon mount today. I waited in a queue 39,000 strong to buy the thing, but so worth it.

And in the theme of love, this sonnet had something to do with why I convinced myself I'm the marrying type, even after thirty-eight years of swearing I would never get married (and turning down several proposals).

SONNET 116

Let me not to the marriage of true minds
Admit impediments. Love is not love
Which alters when it alteration finds,
Or bends with the remover to remove:
O no! it is an ever-fixed mark 
That looks on tempests and is never shaken;
It is the star to every wandering bark,
